Microservices, Spring and PostgreSQL Compatibility

Details
Join us for an evening of food, drinks, networking and talks!
If you have a 10 minute lightning talk or a short demo you'd like to share with the group, let us know so we can get you onto the agenda!
This month's talks include:
Developing Microservices with Spring and PostgreSQL
This talk will cover how Spring is evolving to enable building microservices on distributed PostgreSQL databases using a real world example. We will look at cloud-native aspects such as how to eliminate the load balancer by using cluster-aware SQL drivers, making discovery of the underlying database topology possible in applications and using reactive programming against SQL using R2DBC in the context of the application. Finally, we will conclude with a summary of the work actively happening in this area and what the future holds. Speaker: Amey Banarse, Principal Data Architect - Yugabyte.
Testing the PostgreSQL Compatibility of Distributed SQL Databases
Just how compatible are PostgreSQL-compatible distributed SQL databases? Join Sid Choudhury, VP Products at YugaByte DB, for an unbiased, hands-on presentation to explore in detail the PostgreSQL compatibility claims of AWS Aurora, CockroachDB and YugaByte DB. Also discussed will be architecture and design trade-offs which can affect compatibility in order to achieve other benefits.
