ABOUT YOUR PITCH

It's never too early to start pitching your idea. The very act of saying it aloud to an audience triggers your brain to refine and fine tune it.

This event is limited to 75 attendees so you can have a unique opportunity to receive highly customized feedback on your concept and presenting style.

We recommend you come prepared with a pitch idea (without slides). Don't worry, you can still participate even if not prepared, but you will get more value if you prepare in advance.

There will be sessions on how to effectively deliver a pitch and small group practice sessions faciltiated by a trainer who is either an investor or entrepreneur who has raised capital previously. You will get instant feedback on your performance and constructive suggestions on how you can improve your pitch.

If you're a little nervous, you also don't have to pitch this time round. Attend and watch, ask some questions and learn about what it takes to deliver an effective pitch.

Topics to be Covered:

How to organize a presentation

What makes a presentation effective

The importance of non-verbal communication

How to prepare presentations tailored to your target audience

Handling questions effectively

Making a powerful elevator pitch

How to put a pitch presentation together and what to include

Guidance and feedback on delivery skills

Avoiding a weak opening and how to start with a real attention grabber

Effective use of slides

Getting people to take action

Creating a memorable experience for investors.

Questions To Answer in Your Pitch

When you plan your pitch, make sure to answer these questions in three minutes or less. When you meet investors you only get a short time to make a lasting impression, so make it count.

What is the pain point or problem that you are addressing?

What is your solution? Be specific and/or provide a demo.

What is the market share or market opportunity ?

Who is your customer?

How will you reach them?

What is your business model?

What is your market strategy?

How can you protect your intellectual property?

Who are your competitors and how are you different?

What makes your solution unique?

Who is your management team?

How much money do you need and how will you spend it?

  2. How to meet investors at events
  3. What they look for in a pitch
