What we're about

We are a community of Silicon Valley professionals involved in technology who support each other in upgrading our knowledge and skills as well as in developing great connections through our networking.

We tend to attract tech professionals and friends who are interested in professional development and networking to expand their knowledge and social circle.

We do our best to maintain a friendly but intentional environment in our events to foster good and meaningful connections for all who attend and participate.

We host the following types of events:

1. Educational events to upgrade skills and knowledge.

2. Educational events to expose new technologies and innovation.

3. Investor events to help you get introduced to investors.

4. Networking events to connect with others in the field and potential collaborators or mentors.

5. Social events to enjoy and connect in surprising and good ways.

6. And much more!

Please join our group asap.

Hike and Networking at Alviso Marina County Park, ~4.5mi, 1.5-hour, easy hike

We invite all busy tech professionals to join our early morning hikes that will be organized regularly. These easy hikes can be a way to train yourself for longer hiking trips, for longer hiking events with a related Meetup group that explores US National Parks, or just to meet your group members in person.

We will take Alviso Slough Trail and make sure we are done by 9:30-9:45 am as the latest. This is a flat, fast-paced hike and it can serve as a warm-up for your other activities later on this day. But if everybody in the group wants to do a longer hike, there are choices of trails at Alviso to extend our activities )) This Alviso hike will be hosted by either Lana, or Mike.

Please, bring:
* layered cloths/windbreaker,
* shoes appropriate for a rough trail,
* water,
* hat,
* sunglasses.

The weather forecast in the area: http://bit.ly/3qhmXih

Please be aware that in the case of precipitation in the area the day before the hike - the trail can get muddy here and there. So, put on appropriate shoes, do not wear nice textile shoes..

No parking fee is charged currently at Alviso.

The Park is 100% open space and a good setting for cognitive respite by relaxing and restoring the mind ))

We plan to complement these hikes with networking time AFTER a hike, 9:30am-10:30am so that group members could connect more directly.
This can be happening either at the picnic tables in the park, or at a eating place nearby. Here are some options:
Vahl's Restaurant , opens 11am
El Taco de Oro , opens 9am
Rosita's De Basilio Deli & Market , opens 11am.

Depending on the group's mood, we can go on networking or not (it's up to everyone to decide to go on or not, no obligations/expectations.)
This event is cross-posted with hikers' Meetup groups:
U.S. National Parks Quest, California Camping & Hiking Bay Area Back-Country Buddies, and others.

Let's see each other at Alviso!
