PHOTO EVENT!! Worldwide Photowalk - Mt Vernon, Baltimore
This is NOT an official SSCC event but a great photography opportunity that's led by Michael, a SSCC member. Please register for the walk on the Worldwide Photowalk website (http://www.worldwidephotowalk.com/) Mt. Vernon is considered the cultural hub of Baltimore. Grand mansions from the Industrial Age are now the locations of the Walters Art Museum the Peabody Library and many other galleries, shops and restaurants. We’ll start at the base of the Washington Monument then explore all that Mt. Vernon has to offer. In case of inclement weather we will go in the Walters Art Museum for the photo walk PARKING: Street parking available or there are several garages in the area. I suggest Franklin St Garage (15 W. Franklin St , Baltimore, MD, 21201) $5 per day on weekends. Any camera is welcome! Really, ANY CAMERA Please register for the walk on the Worldwide Photowalk website (http://www.worldwidephotowalk.com/) Search: Baltimore, choose Mt. Vernon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk: The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, dubbed the world’s largest global and social photography event, has grown immensely in size and popularity since the inaugural walk in 2007. Last year, more than 25,000 photographers of all walks of life and skill level converged to explore their corners of the world through photography and social community. The concept of a Photowalk is simple. Photowalks are created by Walk Leaders in cities all over the world. Walkers meet up at a pre-designated location – downtown areas, zoos, business parks, you name it! – to spend a few hours socializing, capturing images and sharing with like-minded people. At the end of the Photowalk, most groups convene at local restaurants or taverns to share their images and experiences over food. In addition to the event, photo walkers will be able to upload their favorite picture to our popular Photowalk contest for a chance to win prizes We will also name a Grand Prize winner and 10 finalists to be selected by Scott Kelby himself! The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Register at www.worldwidephotowalk.com (http://www.worldwidephotowalk.com/), locate your city and complete the free sign up form. You can also apply to be a Photowalk leader in your area. Walking for a Good Cause: The Worldwide Photowalk® proudly supports TheSprings Of Hope Kenya Orphanage , an organization that feeds, houses, educates, and empowers young orphans so that they can grow up to not just survive but succeed. We’re asking each person who participates to donate to help make a difference in these children’s lives. Every dollar counts.
