About us
The Silver Spring Camera Club comprises a diverse group of individuals passionately dedicated to the pursuit of photographic excellence. We believe the best method of understanding the art of photography is through education and the sharing of ideas.
For over 65 years SSCC has maintained a high standard of integrity and quality. Our reputation as the friendliest club in the metropolitan area is the basis of our success. We welcome new members of all ages and skill levels who share our interest in photography.

We welcome visitors and new members to our meetings, which take place the first four Thursdays of every month, September through May.

Meet: Meet outside at B&O Train Museum:
Bring: Your camera gear, a tripod, and a variety of lenses, extra batteries, and good walking shoes.
Tickets: There is no entrance fee or tickets required.
Info: The town is famous for its well-preserved 18th- and 19th-century architecture and its role as the first terminal point of the historic B&O Railroad. Nestled in the scenic valleys of the Patapsco and Tiber rivers: Historic Main Street's local boutiques and the B&O Station Museum (America's oldest surviving train station), Patapsco Valley State Park, and Clark's Elioak Farm.

Tripods: Tripods are allowed so feel free to bring your tripod or monopod
We meet at interesting photogenic sites in the area ranging from DC, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. You can shoot on your own or team up with a helpful Club member for tips and inspiration.
All Are Welcome - Members and Non-Members Are Welcome.
If you wish to join the Silver Spring Camera Club Membership remains a very reasonable $60 for individual members, $90 for family and only $35 for students. Guests are always welcome to participate.

Info: Glenstone maintains a selection of outdoor sculptures set into a serene landscape; it was opened in the Washington, D.C. area in 2006 to support: art, architecture, and nature as a destination and experience.
Admission to Glenstone was free and open to the public by free ticket.
