• What we'll do
Calling those who have completed our basic competency course. We will be extending the jetski competency course to our boaters and community members. This is a 4 hour course which teaches you how to safely ride a jetski from one15 marina to different locations in the south of Singapore. Course content will include:
Leg 1
Pre-Departure Planning
o What to wear
o Tides, weather
o Route planning
o Hand-signs
Pre-Departure Checks
o Hull and Engine Checks
o Safety items check
o Launch from dry platform Leg 2
Cruising
o Riding posture
o Planning speeds and temperatures
o Capsize drill
o Berthing
o Don’ts
Return & Recovery
o Getting the jetski onto the floating platform
o Powering down
o Flushing (for information only)
You will be assessed upon return from the competency course. You need to pass the assessment to be able to charter a self-drive jetski .
Cost : $150/person
Pre-requisite : Basic Competency Course
Purpose of course : self drive of jetskis within the TBSA fleet
• What to bring
gloves, long sleeved wet suit, PPCDL certificate, sunblock
• Important to know
Riding a jetski is not unlike driving a boat but you get more exposed to elements and can be demanding physically. You need to be prepared to get wet and there will be physical exertions required especially in righting a capsized jetski.
