Casting and crew for new film project

Hi all,

The agenda for this meetup is as follows.

a) a screening of the incomplete Project 1 film, ROJAK... it's still a work in progress film but you will be able to see what we have done so far in the first project.

b) a brief reading of the synopsis of 2 or 3 scripts...

c) list of characters and their description in the cast required for each of the scripts

d) Q & A

Tanjong Pagar MRT is just a short 5 minute walk to Talent Café at Tras Street. The kitchen is closed for renovation but finger food and drinks are available. We do not need to pay the cafe for use of their place but since it is a cafe, we hope that all of you will at least buy a drink.

Details will be posted at a later date but it is estimated that we will need to put together 2 teams and a mixed cast of around 20 people in various major, minor or bit roles.

(Not all roles have been established yet. The script/s are still in the process of writing so there may be characters added and removed till the final script is ready. Then a list of roles required, with full description will be posted here.)

Just a note about the project 2. As this is a non funded film, none of us will be paid in any way and work purely for the passion and experience. However we are given a point system based on the number of roles we take... for eg, actor role and help out as production assistant, you get 2 points. Maximum no of points are 3 so even if you help out in 5 positions, it's still 3.

The purpose of doing film projects , firstly for us to learn, to grow, to experience, to put our creativity into reality and to say we have truly made a film. This film will also be listed in the IMDB and it will be entered in as many film festivals as is appropriate and if we do qualify.

The awarding of points is to facilitate that in the event that we win any monetary prizes or if we exceeded our expectations and come up with a good commercial film, good enough to sell to certain sectors, we will take the income less taxes (if applicable), keep aside 30% for future projects, minus inevitable expenses for the film and the balance will be shared according to the point system.

Filming will probably be done in the months of October to Dec, mainly on weekends and will involved full days from 9am to 9pm depending on your roles.
