Let's fly sky lanterns to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

The myth says that military strategist Zhuge Liang (also known as Kong Ming) used it to write a message on it and let it to the sky so as to summon the help when the enemy surrounded him. Because of this, they are also known as Kongming lanterns.

The Chinese believe that by writing their wishes and prayers on the lanterns and releasing the lanterns, their wishes and prayers will come true. We can't be releasing the sky lanterns as we know it causes fire hazards but we can be flying them in the sky. We managed to get the acceptance from authorities to fly sky lanterns.

As of now we only have the acceptance for Toa Payoh, and is the authorities requirements that only 20 lanterns can be up in the sky at 1 time at 1 location. We are hoping that we can secure more locations so that more can join the fun. As such we are creating this meetup to garner interest. Imagine if we have few hundred lanterns flying in Singapore night, we thought it will be such a memorable and spectacular way to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. If you know of condos in the southern, western and not beyond Ang Mo Kio areas with outdoor space for 40 to 60 people to stand at one time, please let us know too.
