The Robotics Operating System (ROS) Singapore Meetup is back with a new version of its Devops Edition. Learn all about devops for ROS with this two amazing talks:

Talks:
1. Devcontainers for ROS development
In this talk, John-Henry will be introducing devcontainers and how they fit into a Docker-based workflow for robotics systems. First introduced by Microsoft's VS Code, the open devcontainers standard enables a consistent Linux environment regardless of host OS, significantly reducing the barrier of entry for developing ROS-based robotics code.

Speaker: John-Henry Lim
John-Henry Lim is a forward-thinking student in Design & Artificial Intelligence at SUTD. He's passionate about digital twins, simplifying ROS development, and currently leads the SUTD's UnderWater Unit project. Named NSF of the Year for ROS-based Computer Vision Applications, John-Henry is dedicated to innovating technology for practical solutions.

2. ROS Bossing Jazzy Jalisco

Every 23rd of May, turtle day, a new ROS distribution gets released. Jazzy Jalisco is the new LTS that was put out in the wild this past May. Every release has a ROS Boss, which is the person in charge of the release process and every sync that will happen during the lifetime of that release. Marco, as the Jazzy ROS Boss, will walk us through this process and give us some hints of what's new in Jazzy.

Speaker: Marco A. Gutierrez
Marco is a software engineer at Intrinsic and the ROS Boss for Jazzy Jalisco. He was part of open robotics and is an active contributor and supporter of the ROS ecosystem.
