After an amazing trip to Lapland earlier this year we travel to Norway for a glimpse of the Northern Lights in Tromso, our trip provides an opportunity to chase and witness the breathtaking Aurora Borealis on the Northern Lights tour, with professional photographs included. Husky dog sledding was an amazing experience in Lapland and Whale watching has been on my bucket list for a while. Make sure you bring your long johns as it's going to be super cold.
January in Norway is a bona fide winter wonderland with snowy activities, fewer crowds. This is also one of the best months for viewing the Northern Lights above the Arctic Circle. It is the coldest month in Norway with average temperatures that range within the 20-30 degree Fahrenheit range. ... Temperatures, less bitter than central and northern Norway, though you can still expect snow and skiing in the nearby mountains.
While the day is very short, it usually gets light blue outside between 7:30 and 9:30 AM. Right after 10 AM the day gets bright. The brightness lasts until about 2 PM when it starts to become darker and it gets completely dark around 3:30ish PM.
