This the mountain where the gondola goes up.The trail leaves from the upper hot springs and gains 655M of elevation and is 5.5km. one way There are 28 switchbacks to keep the grade reasonable and ease the strain of ascent.The track is wide and the grade are moderate as the trail goes into the forest.Make sure you have the physical ability to do this hike and to stay with the group at a moderate pace. Don't worry we will stop for many water breaks and to catch our breath.
What to bring:
Your pack with lunch and 2 liters water min.,good hiking boots,jacket and hiking poles if you use them. No cotton or jeans. This hike is co-hosted with Gail.a organizer with this group.Also if you have a park pass bring it, I have a family pass.We will form at carpool at Shoudice.I live in Deer Ridge and can give anybody a ride from this area or the far SW.
