WHO ... This event is for hikers who have recently completed some events with similar distance, elevation and pace. You must also be physically fit to do the event. Your Event Host will check your hiking history. If you’re new to Slow & Steady I may Private Message you to verify your experience. If you do not respond to the email I will move you to not Attending.

Physical Difficulty: Suitable for Intermediate hikers, NOT suitable for beginners.
Event Pace: Moderate on flat terrain and declines, slow on inclines. We will take short breaks to take in the scenery, hear the birds and enjoy the company.
Restrictions: Guests, with an Intermediate hiking level, are welcome and must sign the Waiver and have the name and phone number of an emergency contact. No pets.

WHAT ... This is not a race, but a PERSONAL CHALLENGE ... an opportunity to maintain or improve your hiking cardio. You are invited to join in and hike your way to the top within the allotted time of 1 hour and 30 minutes at your pace.

Carpool Our Meet Up is the Trailhead, where we will sign the Waiver ... If you need a ride please connect with other participants in the Comments section or through the Private Message option. A good carpool location in the south is the Starbucks at Chapters 16061 Macleod Trail S.E. (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=16061%20Macleod%20Trail%20S.E.%2C%20Calgary%2C%20AB) with a suggested gas donation of $10.00 for the driver. If you leave at 5:45 AM you'll be on time.
In the event of significant weather change in the area on the day of the event, the event will be re-evaluated. Additionally, details of this event are subject to undergo a change at any point in time, with or without warning. It is the responsibility of the participant to check for any updates, changes or cancellations before the trip.

Participants are responsible for assessing current road conditions, current weather conditions, their current physical condition, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip and are responsible for their safety and well-being.
Your participation is at the sole discretion of your Event Host. To learn your hiking history he may email you for a response to ensure this is a good fit. Also, the "want a spot" category in the RSVP section is NOT first come first serve.
WAIVERS: You submit you are fully prepared with proper gear and physically fit for this hike. You will be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. Earn a FREE "No-Show" when you RSVP and then do not attend you will then forfeit your next trips attendance.
Cancellation Policy: Please let us know about any cancellations to your RSVP to provide opportunities for others to attend. Cancellations after the RSVP's close will mean that you will be Waitlisted on the next event.
Event Crashers Policy:No second chances for Event Crashers. As Hosts we maintain a headcount cut off to create an intimate group dynamic that we try to cultivate at our Events.
