PowerShell Core 6.0 Web Cmdlets In Depth
Presented by Mark Kraus

PowerShell Core 6.0 is close to making its GA release. Much has changed within the language and the core cmdlets included by default with PowerShell. The Web Cmdlets, in particular, have undergone radical changes from Windows PowerShell 5.1. These changes are fueled by the need to be cross-platform compatible and by the increasing reliance on web-based REST APIs to manage our IT landscapes on-premise and in the cloud.

This presentation goes in depth to the changes made to Invoke-WebRequest and Invoke-RestMethod in PowerShell Core 6.0. It covers the underlying changes to the core architecture of the cmdlets, outstanding issues, missing or deprecated features, new features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
