This group is for all social singles around Houston who are in their 20s and 30s. We can all get together and fun new locations around the city and have a good time! We meet up for happy hours, interesting shows and concerts, networking events, and other cool events around Houston! This group is meant for people that want to get out and explore new places with awesome new people! Join up if you want to have fun with all of us!

SCAVENGER HUNT+BAR HOP 🕵️♂️🔍🚶♂️🍺 in Downtown Houston

Hey Everyone,So we've had numerous Saturday nights in Midtown, where we've "bar" crawled through the various venues between Brazos and Bagby that have become somewhat of a "spiritual home" for our group. We've been to Eado, where we've graced numerous establishments with our presence as we've "dialed up the fun" throughout the night. And we've even been along White Oak/Heights where we've "bar" hopped between venues on more than one occasion.
But what about Downtown ? Now, we've had our share of outings in Downtown for sure. But usually not "bar hops" per se (at least not officially). You see ,,,while there are a plethora of opportunities along Main street for the "potential party-goer," it's just a smidge difficult to fit our usual group of between forty to fifty party-going faithful into the spatially efficient venues along Main street. Unless ,,,,,,,,, we take a different tack.
What's the solution you ask ? Introducing our original ,,,,, 📣📣 SCAVENGER HUNT+BAR HOP 📣📣 !!!! As our regulars may recall, for this event we combine the best of both worlds. We both have the opportunity to connect in our usual fashion with a large number of old friends and new, as well as check out the eclectic vibe of all the awesome "row" bars along Main street.
For this event:
From 8ish til 9:30 - We'll FIRST GATHER AT ANGEL SHARE to grab a drink and catchup after the week. Then ,,,,,
From 9:30 til 11 - We'll THEN BREAK INTO TEAMS OF AROUND FIVE TO SIX PEOPLE. We will THEN POST A LIST OF CLUES FOR A variety of SCAVENGER HUNT items to locate IN THE NUMEROUS BARS ALONG MAIN STREET. Think of things like pictures, mannequins 😉, logos and other memorabilia - things that are unique to each establishment. And as with our Speed Friending events ,,,, if your clues are proving elusive you can always "phone a friend " (i.e. Google 🙂) to point you in the right direction. EACH TEAM WILL THEN MOVE BETWEEN THE BARS TAKING PICTURES OF AS MANY ITEMS AS THEY CAN FIND BETWEEN 9:30 AND 11. Then ,,,
From 11 til ??? - AT 11 PM, the teams will all MEET BACK UP AT ANGEL
SHARE, where the team who found (and took pictures of) the most items will be declared the winner. And their prize ,,,,, TBD by yours truly the day of 🙂🙂.Many of us are already familiar with Downtown ,,,but probably not with a unique twist like this. Even if you've been numerous times, half the fun will be solving the clues and zooming in on the unique (and perhaps previously overlooked) items on display in each location.

ULTIMATE BAR GAME NIGHT !! 🎱🏓🎯 @ Social Beer Garden

Hey Everyone,So a while back, I took an informal poll about fun things for large groups to do on a Saturday night. The only catch was ,,,,, they had to be "big tent" events. Something that was easy for a new person to attend ,,,,and that didn't require any "special knowledge or skills." I mean ,,,,a trivia night is great and all ,,,,but if you don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of Mr. Belvedere from the early '90s, that event can go sideways pretty quick. It all depends ,,right 🤷♂️🤷♂️ ?? (Wait ,,,,not familiar with this iconic sit-com from the late 80's early 90's starring Christopher Hewett ,,,,,,yeah). Anyway, I expected the informal poll to come back with something like "Dancing." After all, club dancing is a lot of fun. And my dancing skills confirm that such an event meets the aforementioned criteria of not requiring any "special knowledge or skills" 🙂🙂. I was a bit surprised however, when the results came back. PEOPLE WANTED GAMES !!!! Pool, darts, jenga. Nothing too complex. Basically, something easy and fun to do while you socialized. So, with the results in, we doubled down on games, including the creation of our own Black Light Game Night ! And while IMHO Black Light Game Night is totally awesome, it arguably doesn't have the breadth of it's sister event ,,,ULTIMATE BAR GAME NIGHT !!
Enter ,,,🥁🥁🥁,,,,,Social Beer Garden !! While they have a variety of unique events every month in their beer garden, it may be easy to overlook the fact that upstairs they have what may be the largest selection of different bar games in Houston - including pool, darts, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, jenga and connect four.
These events are always a blast ! And anyone can easily join in. So whether you're a "pool shark"😉 or just want to hang out with a group and meet some new people, come on out. All are welcome ! Feel free to bring a friend !
