Node-red Class/Talk

The premise for this class/talk is this:

1. Quick How to install node-red on Mac, Windows, or Linux box. 10-15mins approx

• Minimum Hardware is Raspberry Pi with a linux distro.

2. Then live build example of a simple notification system based on the following minimum viable : 30-45mins approx.

• System must take a raw tcp and parse un-encrypted json string from Esp8266 which will include Temp, Humidity, Lux Level.
• System must have web-based ui for configuration as well as live view of the data
• System must have notification triggers
• System must have multiple user notification list, ie store numbers to text.
• System must be able to notifiy issue by text message sms using twillio

This part also includes:

• How to use the interface
• How to manage your palettes
• How to write simple functions
• How to make sure that node-red auto starts
• Intro to Node-red Flow library
