If you'd like to follow along, you'll need to bring a computer of your own, running either MacOS or Windows. Moderate to good specs recommended - Namely 512+ in graphics memory.
If you don't wish to follow along, you're still welcome to attend, but taking notes is advised.
Fusion 360 is free for hobbyist use, as well as a great all-around tool for designing and manufacturing.
Please install this prior to attending so we can maximize the session time!
You can find Fusion 360 for download at https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists
The session is charged at $25 per person, $5 discount for existing SSD Dues paying members.
We'll be covering:
- The essentials of using Fusion 360 to design an object/item using parametric modeling techniques.
- An overview of the common constraints used for modeling within Fusion 360, what these do, and how to leverage them to help us create more editable and robust models.
- Pre-requisites for general good design principles when using Subtractive Manufacture methods (CNC Mills).
This session will put you in good standing for future sessions in the Fusion 360 instructional series at SSD.
