## What We’re About
This group is for anyone interested in creating and sharing art.
All mediums are welcome—charcoal, watercolor, oil paint, and more—and all skill levels are encouraged to join. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll find a welcoming space here.
Our events include a mix of outdoor painting, life drawing, portrait parties, and photography sessions. Locations vary from San Francisco in the north to Monterey in the south, offering inspiring backdrops for creativity.
### About Dues
I’ve recently started collecting dues to help cover Meetup.com’s fees and to keep the group focused on active members.
If you’d rather not use Meetup.com for payments, that’s no problem. You can pay via Venmo or PayPal at **kmacinto@gmail.com**, or in cash at an upcoming event. If you need another option, send me a direct message and we’ll work it out.
### Workshops & Community
I try to host a few painting workshops each year, but most events aren’t formal classes. Think of this group more as a social community of artists who enjoy creating together. That said, if you’re ever stuck, need a critique, or just want advice, feel free to ask. We have a wonderful mix of experienced artists who are happy to share knowledge.

Short Pose - Figure Drawing and Painting - Tali ($20)

Format: Short Pose FigureIf you haven’t tried life drawing or painting before — it’s exactly what it sounds like! A model will pose for most of three hours, and during that time we’ll capture their likeness using our preferred mediums: paint, pastels, charcoal, pencil, etc.
Pose Schedule
- 10 × 2-minute poses
- 4 × 5-minute poses
- 2 × 10-minute poses
- The remainder: 20-minute poses
- 5-minute breaks in between
What to Bring & What’s Provided
- Provided: chairs, tables, drawing ponies, table easels, and h-frame easels (first come, first served).
- Bring: your own art supplies. Please pack up everything when you leave.
Notes for Painters
- Oil painters: indoors use only odorless mineral spirits.
- No Liquin or turpentine, please.
Respect the Model’s Time
- Posing begins promptly at 6:30pm and ends exactly at 9:30pm.
- Feel free to hang out and share artwork afterward, but posing will not continue past 9:30.
Event Details
- This is not a workshop or instructor-led class.
- The fee covers the model and space rental.
- Cost: $20.00
- Pay with cash at the event OR Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal to kmacinto@gmail.com
- If paying electronically, include your name in the note.
- Any outstanding balances will be collected at the first model break.

- Space is limited, so RSVP early. If your plans change, please update your RSVP so someone from the waitlist can join in your spot.
