## What We’re About
This group is for anyone interested in creating and sharing art.
All mediums are welcome—charcoal, watercolor, oil paint, and more—and all skill levels are encouraged to join. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll find a welcoming space here.
Our events include a mix of outdoor painting, life drawing, portrait parties, and photography sessions. Locations vary from San Francisco in the north to Monterey in the south, offering inspiring backdrops for creativity.
### About Dues
I’ve recently started collecting dues to help cover Meetup.com’s fees and to keep the group focused on active members.
If you’d rather not use Meetup.com for payments, that’s no problem. You can pay via Venmo or PayPal at **kmacinto@gmail.com**, or in cash at an upcoming event. If you need another option, send me a direct message and we’ll work it out.
### Workshops & Community
I try to host a few painting workshops each year, but most events aren’t formal classes. Think of this group more as a social community of artists who enjoy creating together. That said, if you’re ever stuck, need a critique, or just want advice, feel free to ask. We have a wonderful mix of experienced artists who are happy to share knowledge.

Long Pose Figure - ($20 event fee)

Format: Long Pose (One pose)We had a nice turn out at the last long pose session with Jennifer Jones so I'd like to continue hosting Long Pose as long as there's interest/attendance.
Description: Join us for an evening of figure drawing and painting in Santa Clara. This session will feature a Costumed/Dressed model holding one long pose, with regular breaks throughout the evening.
A long pose gives artists plenty of time to develop a more complete drawing or painting. Artists of all experience levels and working in any medium are welcome.The model will hold the same pose throughout the session, with a five-minute break after each 20-minute posing period.
If you haven’t attended a life-drawing session before, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a model will pose while we do our best to capture their likeness using our preferred mediums, such as paint, pastels, charcoal, or pencil.
This is an uninstructed session, not a class or workshop. The event fee covers the model and rental of the space.What to Bring
The venue provides chairs, tables, drawing horses, tabletop easels, and H-frame easels on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring any other art supplies you need and take everything with you when you leave.
Oil painters may use odorless mineral spirits only. Please do not bring turpentine.Cost: $20
You may pay with cash at the event or electronically through Venmo or PayPal at kmacinto@gmail.com. If paying electronically, please include your name in the note. I’ll collect any outstanding fees during the first model break.Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as you can. If you’re unable to attend, update your RSVP so someone from the waitlist can take your spot.
