About High Finance Podcast Shows:
Produced by Bigfoot Podcast Network in the Bigfoot studio, Portland, Oregon, the High Finance Podcast show is about the business of cannabis as it evolves in Oregon and around the globe. High Finance explores the areas of creating a business in the roller coaster ride of cannabis as it becomes legal in the United States. The topics range include compliance, finance, 280-E, marketing, chemistry, education, processing, testing and navigating the waters of public opinion.
The first series is Oregon-centric, mostly because so many eyes are on the state to see if Oregon can “get it right”. Hosts are Meghan Walstatter, co-owner of Pure Green dispensary in Portland and an early player in the movement to legalize both medical and recreational cannabis in the state. Joining her is Nick Pasquale, a television producer from Australia with a keen interest in the global cannabis scene and its evolution throughout the states.
Each show runs 45-minutes plus or minus and each guest goes deep into their subject, with large doses of humor injected along the way. A new show is produced each week and a new show is released each week, so listeners are constantly refreshed with content. Conversations are very rich in learning, but casual in nature. The tone appeals to a wide range of people both currently in the industry and those seeking to enter it. Definitely for the serious business person, not the stoner.
