Currently, Little Band is invite only. Please contact Sunny via Meetup if you are interested.
So what is Little Band?
It is a breakout group from the general SCU membership that focuses on advanced ukulele ensemble music. The intent of LB is to advance your skills, work on more complex music, perform or busk in the future.
Here’s what you need to know to feel comfortable in this group.
* LB is best for the intermediate-advanced player.
* The songs and arrangements usually will have multiple parts with a mix of chords, finger-picking styles and strum patterns.
* Players need to be able to read tab and/or read music notation for the uke.
*Players need to have some experience and comfort with finger-picking and a variety of strums.
*Practice prior to sessions is expected.
ZooM JaM!
Please RSVP to this Meetup to get link to the zooM JaM. Log on at 6:55 to get the best out of our play-along presentation. :-) Link will appear to the right on this page after you RSVP.
We’ll be on for about an hour this evening with a rotating cast of song leaders. YB/BB designations indicate either the Beloff 365 or 366; all of the other links come from our group files
How about volunteering to lead a song? Pick a song from the books or find a PDF and share it with Kathy through SCU messages (above top right side) or contact her below in comments.
You never have to lead if you don’t want to, just play and sing along and always have fun.
This Week’s TheMe: M is for March! (And Music!)
