Ukulele Jam of the South Hills - 4th Tuesday

Mt. Lebanon Public Library

Come join us at the Mt. Lebanon Library the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month to mostly jam with a ukulele but any instrument is appreciated. We usually play songs with up to 5-8 chords and the songs are projected onto the screen. If you're a beginner player and know the basic chords, please join us. If you don't know them all, play the ones you DO know. The group chooses the songs they want to play using "The Daily Ukulele 365 Songs for Better Living," by Liz and Jim Beloff as well as from the list at the link below. The book is available from local music stores and online. Anyone can submit songs from this book or any other source ahead of time for a group inspired playlist. See Playlist Below. Any time we have left over we pick songs from the book noted above or from printed sheets of music members bring in at that session. What to bring: Ukulele, table top music stand and the music book. Submit songs for our playlist one week ahead of jam to Patty Williams at [masked]. Any questions, please call Patty Williams at 412/[masked]. Join us for a trip to the local pub afterwards. Ukulele Test Drive and Beginner Strumming (Last Thursday of the month)

It’s all about Fun, Friends and Ukuleles! 1. Help a beginner or novice learn to strum. 2. Play some live music with fellow ukulele players in a relaxed bar/restaurant setting. It’s fun and now here’s your chance! Burgr’z on 8 restaurant/bar has partnered with Steel City Ukuleles to offer a “Ukulele Test-Drive” monthly beginner strumming event. You can help folks learn to play a basic song or two, and even sit in with some more experienced players. We guarantee (almost) that anyone can play a song in less than 10 minutes. Ukuleles, basic song and instruction sheets are provided – all you have to do is show up. Any Steel City Ukulele player is welcome as well as friends. Burgr’z on 8 is a family-friendly establishment, has a great menu, with (of course) some of the best burgers in the area. The bar includes lots of cold drinks, including domestic and craft beers on tap. Try a beer or martini flight and/or have a Burger! Get ready to Play-Sing-Teach! Check out the Burgr’z on 8 website (https://www.burgrzon8.com/) for the menu and more details. Come over, bring your uke, sing, play and stay for the evening. It’s all about Fun, Friends and Ukuleles!
