Looking for fun things to do in your free time? look no further! Stevens Creek Outdoor Recreation is based out of the new nature center in Mint hill. We are going to be offering a wide variety of adventure programs in the county as well as day trips out of the county. From longboarding on greenways to campfires at our preserve, we will be offering all kinds of fun programs to get you off your couch and to meet new people in your community. All skill levels are welcome to our programs!

Bows and arrows are some of the oldest tools humans have ever used and still use to this day. Let's not forget about axes - they were used for hunting, crafting, and even battling it out. Get a grip on basic terminology, practice proper form and safety with a recurve bow and traditional throwing axe, then use your newly-honed skills during a little target practice. All equipment provided; no personal gear allowed.

Sunset hikes are back! Designed for big kids and adults alike, wish the sun sweet dreams, watching it set as you walk the trails. Sunset is an ideal time to look and listen for seasonal animals and plants - what will you discover this month? Once it's dark, your guide will help you use your senses to experience the nocturnal world by the light of the moon.

It's International Geocaching Day 2025! A day filled with adventure and camaraderie. Celebrate all things geocaching - meet other geocachers and understand the basics of geocaching, how to use the official geocaching app and tips and tricks to take with you on your next adventure. Be sure to bring a pen and small items to trade during this fun-filled Stevens Creek geocaching adventure!

Borrow a Boat - July 27
Want to go kayaking but don't have your own? Have one but just don't want to haul it out today? Borrow one of ours! We provide all gear and safety equipment, you provide the paddling power. Our boats are stable and comfortable - perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Enjoy the lake for a full 1, 2, or 3 hours in your single or tandem (2-person) kayak.This event takes place Col. Francis Beatty Park. Registered participants will receive additional details by email closer to the program date.
