Looking for fun things to do in your free time? look no further! Stevens Creek Outdoor Recreation is based out of the new nature center in Mint hill. We are going to be offering a wide variety of adventure programs in the county as well as day trips out of the county. From longboarding on greenways to campfires at our preserve, we will be offering all kinds of fun programs to get you off your couch and to meet new people in your community. All skill levels are welcome to our programs!

ASL Hike and Sign (9/12)
Explore the great outdoors at Stevens Creek Nature Preserve at our American Sign Language (ASL) Hike and Sign!
Pack a picnic lunch to meet new friends and our friendly nature center staff! Staff will share a sneak peek of outdoor adventures coming soon. Then, we will hike 1.5 to 2 miles along the Heelsplitter and Sawmill Trails. Please note that the hike includes varied surfaces and inclines.
This program is perfect for the Deaf community. It is also for anyone who uses ASL, whether you are fluent or just learning. Everyone is welcome to join the fun!
A certified ASL interpreter will be present. Nature center staff will communicate in both spoken English and basic ASL to ensure clear connections for everyone.

SCNP: Mosaic Bird Bath Making (8/23)
Stevens Creek Nature Preserve, 15700 Thompson Rd, Mint Hill, NC, USBring new life to your old, unused, or broken glass/ceramic materials while by providing safe, clean drinking water for native wildlife. Dinner plates, mugs, plant pots, and glassware can transform into beautiful mosaic art for a bird bath. Let your creative juices fly wild as you create your own design in a provided terra cotta saucer. Mosaic materials provided but participants are urged to bring their own.
