Annual Picnic and Zoo at Micke Grove
Perfect for families, we're proud to announce our second Annual Picnic and Zoo at Micke Grove. Parking for the day is $5 per vehicle. Picnic We'll start off the day with a picnic from 11 AM - 1:30 PM. Bring whatever you like to eat and a few extra bites to share with your friends. We will grab a few tables and a grassy area located near the Historical Society and Museum. Look for a couple canopies with SAAF banners and balloons. There's plenty of parking right next to our area. If you have games to play or any other fun ideas, please use the comments and let us know. Zoo After our picnic, let's walk to Micke Grove Zoo (http://www.mgzoo.com/). The Zoo is home to native animals and exotic species from all over the world, including several endangered species like the Cotton Top Tamarin and Black and White Ruffed lemur. Exhibits include the Tropical Forest Canopy with Green Iguanas and Prevost's Squirrels and the Island Lost in Time featuring lemurs and radiated tortoises from Madagascar. If there is enough interest, we will arrange for a zoo tour. The Zoo closes at 4:30 PM. Admission to the Zoo is $5 for adults, and $3 for children.

What we're about

Welcome to the Stockton Area Atheists and Freethinkers!

We are a group of non-believers that focuses on community involvement, social events, education and information, and activism.

Most of our meetings are held in San Joaquin County, from Lodi to Manteca -- though we occasionally join efforts with our friends in Modesto, Sacramento, and the Bay Area.

We have a number of repeating events, including "Drinking Skeptically", game night, brunch, highway cleanup, colloquium, and more.

The Stockton Area Atheists and Freethinkers has no monthly dues, and no mandatory attendance. We're just looking for like-minded people who believe in good.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/StocktonAtheists), too.

Sincerely,

David Diskin
