About us
The aim of the group is to bring together passionate street photographers and to learn our wonderful craft.
The events will be in a mini-workshop format when in London, and as more informal short and long weekend trips to the most buzzing cities in the UK and Europe. We're a very friendly group: street photography is a solo endeavour, and it is really refreshing to enjoy it with other fellow photographers! Our members range from novices to professional photographers, all with shared interest in street photography.
The mini-workshop events are focused on getting results: you will come away having learned something that you can apply to your photography from the moment we say goodbye. You will get a "creative brief" to follow that will allow you to concentrate on a specific skill building exercise. I will be with you helping to get the most of the scenes you find and to guide you towards the best result.
After the workshop sessions you will remain involved with the group through an active community where you will be encouraged to share the results of your efforts during and after the events. Constructive critique is the best way to learn, and that's what you will get in the community. You will also be able to keep in touch with the other event attendees and to get to know many more fellow street photographers.
Join us and let's embark together in this wonderful journey of discovery and learning of this wonderful craft that is street photography!
All types of cameras are welcome, from smartphones to DSLRs and film cameras
RULES: Street photography involves taking candid shots of people. Therefore, if you attend our events, there is a good chance you will be photographed and your photo posted on meetup or used on social media. By attending our events, you give your consent to that. This group is not to be used for self-promotion, or for recruiting group members for your own purposes. Please avoid taking photos of children without their parent’s consent. This is a societal rule, not a group rule. Please respect other members of the group: their photography style, quality of their shots and their equipment, avoid blocking their shots or getting in their way. Let's go out and enjoy photography!
