Our membership fee is one of the best bargains around!! Welcome back to all of our SCU members who have renewed their memberships and hoping to encourage our non-members to join our ranks. We are excited to have over 2,100 cyclists in our Meetup Group but we would be even more excited to have all of you become dues paying SCU members. Welcome to Suburban Cyclists Unlimited! We are a non-profit community of recreational cyclists riding at various paces as we tour the roads and trails of our surrounding counties in Southeastern Pa, predominantly in Montgomery and Bucks. Weekday and weekend rides are available as well as social and bike events throughout the year.

You can join this Meetup to get notifications of upcoming rides. It is open to members and prospective members. As a Meetup member you are welcome to try some of our many rides as a guest. Escape the Snow in South Jersey - Hammonton > Smithville 47 Flat

##### Sat February 7, 2026 - Escape the Snow in South Jersey - Hammonton to Historic Smithville CO-LEADERS WELCOME (ad-hoc ride)

Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 47 FLAT miles. Meet at Hammonton Walmart parking lot, White Horse Pike (US-30). The ride leaves at 10:00 am. South Jersey received significantly less snow in the most recent snowstorm, compared with Southeastern PA. This scenic route is based on a Tom Madle cue sheet from several years ago. Pretty loop from Hammonton to Historic Smithville, for a lunch/coffee/snack stop at Mile 25, slightly beyond the half-way mark. Pass the scenic Mullica River, and cross the peaceful Nacote Creek. Pass through the cute towns of Port Republic and Egg Harbor City. There is a lake with outdoor seating near the coffee shop at Historic Smithville. If Smithville is crowded, we can go to the nearby mega-Wawa, 2 blocks away. This 47-mi route is the winter, "post-snowstorm" version. These are FLAT, South Jersey miles - total elevation gain 724 ft, averaging 15 ft/mile.

START/FINISH: Hammonton Square Shopping Center on White Horse Pike/US-30 & NJ-613, across from the Silver Coin Diner. Please park near the Walmart, since this is close to the exit onto 613.
