  • North Penn HS 12-14mph Tues. Night Ride

    Join me every 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesday on a 12-14 mph ride leaving from the back parking lot at North Penn HS in Lansdale. Average speed in beginning of season will be around 12.5 mph and will progress to around 13.5 mph later in the season. We usually head away from town and ride the rolling hills of the surrounding area. No riders dropped. Wait for the ride leader at tops of hills. We ride until dark. Distance will increase as daylight increases - expect 20-30 mile rides with no rest stops. No night riding. Active or imminent rain, extreme heat (>95 degrees), tornado warnings, and high winds cancel ride. Cancellations will be posted on Meet Up. Ride is co-listed on CBBC website.

    ### DELIGHTFUL, DELICIOUS D (& D+/C-) RIDE, TUESDAY EVENING EDITION

    This weekly ride is scheduled on Tuesdays starting on April 26, 2022 and is scheduled to end on September 20, 2022. The ride will depart from Glenside Public Library parking lot at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: C- through D:[masked]mph, Distance: 15-30 miles. Scheduled for most Tuesday evenings throughout summer, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Relaxed pace, peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery Co. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on return. This Tuesday night ride meets weekly throughout summer, except if raining, unless there is another special club event in a different location (e.g., Member Appreciation Tailgate Social at another club ride site). After Labor Day, this ride will meet earlier (5:45 or 5:30pm), due shorter evening daylight. Cue sheets will not be available.

  • Wednesday Night Ride IVMS @ 13/14 mph

    Join us as we ride the roads surrounding IVMS and head into Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Terrain will be rolling to hilly. Ride will have a no drop policy but riders are expected to main listed pace.
    We will do our best to be back by sunset. A headlight and tail light are recommended for safety.
    RSVP suggested on Meet up.
    Rain or impending weather (thunder storms) will cancel the ride. Cancellations will be listed on meet up by 5:00 pm day of ride.

  • Flourtown Regular Season "B+" Ride

    Please join us for rides in Montgomery and Bucks counties at a pace of 17+/- mph. Early season might be a bit slower, later in the season will be faster. Ride distance will vary based on available daylight. We will not drop anyone, but please be sure that you are capable of maintaining the advertised pace including some hill climbing.

    We are planning to maintain a group size of no more than 15 riders, and will follow the SCU COVID mitigation measures listed below. If there are more than 15 riders, then we will subdivide into more than one group as long as a second ride leader is available.

    We will post the ride route(s) in advance to the comments section for download to your device. Please RSVP. No Cue Sheets will be available. Rain at start time, or wet roads will cancel the ride. If you have any questions, please post in the Comments section.

    Bring your bike, helmet, water bottles, snacks, spare tube, and tools needed for changing a flat (just in case). There are no planned stops on these rides.

    Our goal is to be back by sunset, but a taillight and headlight are recommended both early and late in the season given the shorter amount of daylight.

    Level C- through D: 10-12mph, 15-30 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Most summer Wednesday evenings, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work ride to pedal away stresses, suited for novices, newcomers to area, and/or anyone seeking low-intensity recovery ride. Peaceful roads Eastern Montgomery Co, w/brief rest stop. Please bring lights. Please bring mask for indoor stop (Just in case) & hand sanitizer. Preregistration saves you writing time at start. If you sign-in at start, please use hand sanitizer. Meet in parking lot of Flourtown Shop Ctr Bethlehem Pike (McDonald's in front, facing the Pike). Once a month, this ride may need to meet earlier in afternoon, due to BCP Board meeting in evening. In September, as evening daylight shortens, this ride will meet earlier (5:45, then, 5:30). Cue sheets will not be available.

    Horsham area summer rides are resuming at the Horsham Library. There will be varied ride leaders and paces from 11 to 18 mph going 20 to 30+ miles depending on pace and the amount of daylight available.

    Bring your bike, a helmet, spare tubes and a pump, something to drink, and a big smile!

    While we plan to be back by sunset, a head and taillight are recommended in case the ride ends up coming back a little late. Rain or forecast of severe weather cancels. Please make sure you are able to ride the advertised pace of the group that you ride with.

    Rider RSVP is not required, but ride leader RSVP would be appreciated so we can get an idea of what groups will be available.
