About us
Sunday Assembly is a non-religious congregation that celebrates life.
Our events on the second Sunday of each month are generally 75 minutes filled with inspirational talks, poetry and art, donuts and coffee, and more... followed by a potluck!
We are inclusive - everyone is welcome, regardless of their beliefs (or lack thereof), their sexual orientation, their age, gender, or politics.
Our events are free for all to attend, though donations are appreciated. We do not accept sponsorships.
Our Motto: Live better Help often Wonder more.
Contact Us: If you would like to reach out to us, visit our website at **www.sasac.org** or send an email to **sunday.assembly.sacramento@gmail.com**.

California Freethought Day 2026
California State Capitol Building, 1305 10th Street, Sacramento, CA, USCalifornia Freethought Day combines the fun and atmosphere of a fair with the education and activism of a conference. It's a festival of freethought.
Our theme this year is “In Facts We Trust: Misinformation and Media Literacy” as we highlight the vital role that reliable information, critical thinking, and media literacy play in a healthy, democratic society.
Join us at our free event to celebrate freedom of speech and thought, civic engagement, enthusiasm for science, social justice, and the separation of church and state.
Our event will be outdoors at the California State Capitol Building and livestreamed via Facebook and YouTube.
