What we're about

The Sunday Assembly is a secular congregation that celebrates life.

Our events on the second Sunday of each month are generally 75 minutes filled with music (80s and 90s pop hits), inspirational talks, poetry and art, donuts and coffee, and more... followed by a potluck!

We are radically inclusive - everyone is welcome, regardless of their beliefs (or lack thereof), their sexual orientation, their age, gender, or politics.

Our events are free for all to attend, though donations are appreciated. We do not accept sponsorships. Childcare is provided.

Our Motto: To live better, help often, and wonder more.

Sunday Assembly International Conference (Oakland, CA)

Needs a location

It's the annual gathering of people from around the world who want to build positive and inclusive communities to Live Better, Help Often, Wonder More.

Gather with Sunday Assembly friends and members from around the world to find inspiration on building positive and inclusive communities!

In past years, this has taken place in:

  • London 2014
  • Atlanta 2015
  • Utrecht 2016
  • San Diego 2017
  • Edinburgh 2018
  • Nashville 2019

And now it's happening July 15-17, 2022, in Oakland, California – the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area!

Co-hosted by Sunday Assembly East Bay and Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley.

We’ll be assembling in the historic Nile Hall at Preservation Park, a charming neighborhood of colorful, ornate and beautifully maintained Victorian-era buildings surrounded by flowers.

If you arrive in Oakland by July 14, join in a meet and greet with other attendees and organizers that late afternoon/evening in the Old Oakland neighborhood.

Your ticket includes lunches on July 15 and 16; and a dinner with your new and old friends under festive lights in the park, around a beautiful fountain on evening of July 16.

🎫 Event Tickets

Tickets for the entire weekend, which include two lunches and a dinner, are $120 each -- but Sunday Assembly Sacramento will reimburse* you $100 after your confirmed purchase and attendance.
