ABOUT THIS FILM
Barker had originally intended for the Hellraiser sequels to focus on the character Julia, but actress Higgins declined to reprise her role so her character was eventually killed in the final cut of Hellbound. This was the first film in the series to be shot in the United States unlike the previous that where shot in the UK. This film deviates from the previous ideas of the first two films and blends instead the Legacy of what is "The Hellbound Heart" while making homages to war films like Apocalypse Now & Platoon. Characters are depicted as seeking answers following traumatic experiences with war, trying to understand death and the search for meaning after losing faith in both God and mankind.

BASIC PREMISE
An investigative reporter must send the newly unbound Pinhead and his legions back to Hell.
