Docker, Kubernetes and Azure

We will be talking about Azure Container Service.

Container - we will provide a crash-course on containers, what they are, advantages, etc. Specifically Docker containers.

Container Service - we will talk about how to orchestrate containers, e.g. scaling, rolling release, rollbacks. Specifically Kubernetes as the container service.

Azure Container Service - the Azure cloud provides services to allocate and manage a Kubernetes cluster of machines and deploy Docker containers to that cluster.

Kip Streithorst is a Senior Software Engineer working for Applied Information Sciences in Raleigh. He spends most of his day working with Javascript but also uses ASP.NET MVC for back-end services. When not programming, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
