Alice grew up in a Bernina sewing machine dealership where she learned the ins and outs of sewing from basic machine maintenance to competition garment construction. She has competed & placed in the Make It With Wool as well as Kansas state & county fairs for garment construction. She has taken training from Bernina & worked as an alterationist. She has over 30 years of sewing experience. Melodie is an award-winning costumer, a milliner and occasional cosplay judge. She regularly speaks at conventions about inexpensive costuming and body positivity in cosplay, well, she did before Covid.
