3D Printer Orientation: Printing at Tampa Hackerspace (THS Members only)

Details

We'll cover the processes needed to operate the 3D printers at Tampa Hackerspace. We'll cover loading and unloading; bed leveling, when you should do it, and how; loading your print onto the printer and starting the job; filament selection and storage; troubleshooting; and more.

Please note: we will not be covering the software side of 3D printing in this class. Students should have prior familiarity with acquiring 3D files and slicing them for printing. If you're looking for more information on how to prepare files for 3D printing, register for the "3D Printing Orientation: Models and Slicers" session.

This class is for paying members of Tampa Hackerspace ONLY. Information on becoming a paid member can be found on our website (http://tampahackerspace.com/membership).

We have several restrictions in place related to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are conforming to the latest CDC guidelines and subject to change with no notice.

  1. If you are sick, change your RSVP and stay home.
  2. Properly worn face coverings are required. If you aren't able to properly wear a face covering, we are not able to accommodate you at this time.
  3. You may be temperature screened when you arrive.
  4. If the instructor is not comfortable with your participation, you could be asked to leave without completing this class. This is done for the safety of everyone in the class.
