Shopbot Safety and Usage (Members Only)

This class will explain and demonstrate setup, operation, and cleanup for the Shopbot CNC machine at Tampa Hackerspace.
**Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to get settled and signed in. The class will start on time.

If you are not comfortable with the Covid-19 restrictions for any reason, please do not RSVP.

Prerequisites
Students must have the ability to generate toolpaths using one of the supported CAM tools (VCarve or Fusion 360). Generating toolpaths is outside the scope of this class.

Students must have completed woodshop safety before taking this course.

1. Masks are required and must be properly worn.

2. We are providing face shields that may be worn along with the masks and safety goggles.

3. You may be temperature screened when you arrive.

4. Maintain social distancing during the class.

5. If the instructor is not comfortable with your participation, you could be asked to leave without completing this class. This is done for the safety of everyone in the class.

6. You must badge in even if the door is open. We need to have a record of everyone's presence in case there is a future or unexpected problem (e.g. contact tracing is required).
