Make a WiFi Valet using Near Field Communications (NFC) Technology

Details
Make your own WiFi Valet to allow users to join your WiFi network by tapping their smartphone, or scanning a QR code, without having to type in the name and password. Great when you have guests in your home - even better in a business office, an AirBnB, cafes, etc.
All materials provided, just bring your SmartPhone and your WiFi name and password. Learn how to program Near Field Communications (NFC) tags, generate QR codes, and etch the WiFi symbol using our Laser Engraver.
No woodshop experience or access necessary - the wooden blanks will be pre-made so the class time can focus on the functionality. Instructions will be provided for anyone who wants to know how to make their own wooden blanks after the class. Open to members ($30) and non-members ($40), payable here: https://tampahackerspace.square.site/product/make-a-wi-fi-valet/86?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=2
