About us
This group is for anyone who wants to dance Argentine tango in the San Francisco Bay Area! Everyone is welcome, from first-timers to experienced dancers. We host a beginner class and an intermediate class on most Wednesdays at the Berkeley City Club. The classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people. Come on out for tango in the East Bay!

Tango 101 and intermediate tango dance classes with Felipe & Ayano
Berkeley City Club, 2315 Durant Ave., Berkeley, CA, USWorld-class tango teachers Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda are back in the Bay! Felipe and Ayano teach challenging, fun classes where everyone is encouraged to lead and follow. In Tango 101, they introduce lead-follow technique and the fundamental structures of tango. In the intermediate series, they introduce more complex figures to help students refine their technique.
Wednesdays, June 10th, 17th, and 24th

7:00-8:00 pm Tango 101
8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate tango series
9:30-10:30 pm practicaNo partner necessary; the teachers encourage people to switch partners throughout the class.
These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
Tango 101 is open to all levels. The intermediate series is geared towards people who have been dancing for at least three months (12 tango classes).
$60 general admission (all three classes, beg. or int.)
$25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.)
$15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.)

Tango dance classes with Anahí at La Bruja
Berkeley City Club, 2315 Durant Ave., Berkeley, CA, USAll the way from Buenos Aires, Anahí is visiting Berkeley to teach tango in July! Anahí's classes are challenging, active, and fun. A professor at the National University of the Arts, Anahí has a deep knowledge of tango dance and culture. In these classes, she teaches tango figures for social dancing, emphasizing lead-follow communication. No experience is necessary for the beginner class.
