For the 1st 30-45 minutes, Jim True will be facilitating a roundtable group discussion around website best practices (see topics below).

The 2nd half of the meeting will be small group breakouts helping nonprofits with any website needs, which could include: auditing site to identify improvement opportunities, fixing bugs/issues, small enhancements like page additions, content tweaks, integrating plug-ins and/or social media, etc.

Nonprofits - It is very important that you come prepared with an idea of what you need help with flushed out as best you can! Also, bring your computer and any log-in information for your website so Tech Volunteers have access.

We'll have food and drinks provided!

Topics for the RoundTable:

  • Security (SSL & HTTPS) Is my site secure? What do I need to do to make sure I'm taking donations safely and protecting my customer's data?
  • Backups & Where to Store Them? Make sure you have a backup of your site that is not stored on the Hosting Server
  • Securing Access to my Site for Administrators/Technical Staff (Freelancers)
  • Creating a Safe 'In Case of Emergency' Recovery Accounts for Passwords and access.
