Join us for our next tech talk - Containerization in the world of DevOps hosted by AppDynamics.

Containerization is now taking application portability to a new level and we’re excited to explore this new wave of DevOps. Learn how it’s driving productivity and allowing developers to work more effectively on strategic projects. Not to mention how it’s helping them work more efficiently making applications move more seamlessly. Lastly we’ll discuss in depth how containers are modifying the world for software developers and what you and your teams should be doing about it now.

Venue Details: Check-in will be located in the lobby at the designated Tech in Motion table at 303 Second St. North Tower. The tech talk and networking will take place in AppDynamic's large "town hall" area in their office on the 8th floor. We'll have plenty of seats set up for the tech talk with extra standing room in the back! This is a large space, so we have lots of room for our members.

Program for the Evening:

Kiyoto Tamura | VP of Marketing, Treasure Data | @kiyototamura (https://twitter.com/kiyototamura)

http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/6/8/5/600_447694437.jpeg

A former quantitative analyst and software engineer, he has been a contributor to open source projects like Fluentd and Embulk. As a maintainer of the popular open source log collector Fluentd, Kiyoto has played a key role in the adoption of Fluentd as Docker's officially supported logging middleware. Today, Fluentd is a popular choice among Docker users because it helps them centralize all container logs in a programmable, scalable manner. As Fluentd's adoption on AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft's Operations Management Suite have shown, unified logging is a key concern for DevOps. In this panel discussion, Kiyoto would like to shed light on the idea of unified logging and "logging as code" within the broader DevOps theme of "infrastructure as code"
