Derrick Calderon | Vice President of Business Development | Ingenu
Derrick Calderon is a skilled business development executive with extensive experience in the wireless communications and IoT industries. He currently serves as Ingenu’s Vice President of Business Development, overseeing the company’s domestic sales organization for the Machine Network™ as well as private network deployments. Prior to joining Ingenu, Calderon served in various business development management roles at Raco Wireless, a provider of IoT/M2M wireless products and services, where he created and executed the strategy for the company’s Latin America region, which became the organization’s fastest growing division. He was also Business Development Manager for T-Mobile, a national mobile communications carrier. Calderon holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Utah Valley University.

Heather Brundage is the Head of Business Development at Particle, a scalable, reliable, and secure Internet of Things device platform that enables businesses to quickly and easily build, connect, and manage their connected solutions. She joined Particle after working in the mobile app tool space, helping developers create cross platform apps with Apportable. Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering from MIT and started her career building underwater robots. She returned to MIT for her master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and shifted to consumer product design, manufacture, and commercialization. She has shepherded numerous products to market and helps other companies do the same, including mentoring startups at TechStars, Highway 1, and Startup Next. Bruce started in the business of IoT in 2008 as CEO of a networking company that sold a platform to Service Providers providing smart home services. His career began as a mathematician and then programmer who quickly found his way to business through marketing. He worked his way through product marketing and brand management to be VP of Marketing for a large Microsoft subsidiary. Since then Bruce has been CEO of companies in the visual computing and IT industries. Today Bruce consults with enterprises and IoT vendors on their IoT strategies. He also conducts workshops for senior managers and executives on how to build IoT businesses and product lines. Bruce is well known and connected in the industry through his IoT podcast, video series and monthly meetup in the Silicon Valley and is a featured author for publications such as Computerworld, Forbes, Network World and ZDNet. He speaks publicly about IoT around the world and was the opening keynote speaker of the industry’s largest event: Internet of Things World 2016.
