What we're about

TensorFlow™ is an open source software library for numerical computation using data flow graphs. Its flexible architecture allows you to deploy computation to one or more CPUs or GPUs in a desktop, server, or mobile device with a single API. TensorFlow was originally developed by researchers and engineers working on the Google Brain Team within Google's Machine Intelligence research organization for the purposes of conducting machine learning and deep neural networks research, but the system is general enough to be applicable in a wide variety of other domains as well.

With TensorFlow, you train computers to teach themselves by sifting through abundantly available data from all around us, then you make these computers available through an API to provide high-quality answers to everyone.

This group is for anyone who's interested in learning about or advancing their knowledge of TensorFlow, its use cases and applications. We'll cover numerous topics including:

• Use-cases and integration
• Tutorials, How-To's & Best Practices
• Models
• Algorithms
• Multi-GPU Autoscaling in the cloud
• Tools and utilities
• Contributing

We will learn how to solve some of the hardest problems that exist in the world today, and how to make predictive APIs and applications. Join the fun.

AI/ML/MLOps and Vertex AI - In-person/Hybrid meetup.

Needs a location

Welcome back everyone! We are excited to resume in person meetups and happy to see you again.

This session is hosted at Google’s new offices in Portland, OR. While we wish we can welcome everyone, there is a hard limit of 50 in-person attendees at this facility due to COVID-19 restrictions. We strongly ask that you update your RSVP to free your space for others should your plans change.

Agenda -

5:30 - 6:00 Networking (Food & beverages sponsored by Google)

6:00 - 6:40 Technology Update - Al Kari

Ramping up: Technology landscape of AI, ML, MLOps and frameworks, and where Artificial Intelligence is headed.

6:40 - 7:20 MLOps - Andrew Ferlitsch

Google Cloud AI's definition of the 8 stages of MLOps for enterprise scale production. In addition to covering the steps, actions and artifacts, we will present how Vertex AI products and services fit into each MLOps stage. The presentation will finish with a quick overview of Google Cloud AI Developer Relation's git repo for MLOps with Vertex AI notebook tutorials.

7:20 - 8:00 Vertex AI Lab walkthrough - Chris Thompson

Finding the right tools for your machine learning stack can be daunting. Vertex AI aims to simplify the machine learning lifecycle by providing a comprehensive suite of tools that address all steps in the machine learning lifecycle. This session will show you how easy it is to deploy a model using the Vertex AI tools.

Speakers:

Al Kari leads Manceps which delivers large enterprise AI/ML solutions, and a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Machine Learning.

Andrew Ferlitsch is an expert on deep learning and MLOps at Google Cloud AI Developer Relations where he supports customer facing staff assisting enterprise customers successfully onboard Vertex AI services into large scale production environments.

Chris Thompson is a Sr. MLOps Engineer at Radiology Partners and Captain of the Portland Python Pyrates, one of the largest Python Meetups in the Portland metro area.
