Over the next few weeks, to coincide with the relaunching of the group, we will be running a series of short, focused introduction and code-along events aimed at newcomers to Deep Learning.

Back to Basics: Beginners Introduction & Live Coding Sessions

Session 01: Deep Learning Introduction & Your First Deep Learning Model - July 6th

Session 02: Building Convolutional Neural Networks for Computer Vision - July 13th

Session 03: Building a Transformer for State-of-the-Art NLP - July 20th

Each of these sessions will involve a short talk about the ideas involved, followed by a live coding session - where you can code along in your own Google Colab notebook and ask questions as you are coding.

Groups will be kept reasonably small as we are trialing this as a new format to help and train beginners.

We plan to have both intermediate coding sessions as well as more cutting-edge papers sessions coming up in the next few months.
