"Content is king." - Bill Gates (1996)

Content is the primary driving force of the Web. With over a billion websites broadcasting this content to millions of readers around the world, it is important for writers to have a digital foot in the door. A writer's website is a "home base" for your creative reputation in the digital world. It is a place for readers and publishers to get to know your voice and writing style.

This workshop will take the anxiety out of building your own website by providing an overview on how to plan, create, curate, and manage content for your website. We will review a selection of all-in-one website builder platforms such as SquareSpace, Wix, and Wordpress to create your site on. You'll get tips on how to promote traffic to your site and optimize search results that point to your work.
