From: Darcy
Sent on: Thursday, April 4, 2013 10:08 AM

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Cherie Soria and Dan Laderman are going to be at 1970 Chestnut St Berkeley

to present a couple recipes from their new book Raw Food for Dummies- and pass on to us some of their expertise and knowledge about raw food preparation. Cherie Soria is founder of the Living Light Institute and teacher of Heather Haxo Phillips and Jennifer Cornbleet among other talented Bay Area chefs.

The comments on the website are testimony of what a special event this is.

Patti said, "If you've ever wondered what to do with that avo other than guac, she's the mother of other inventions."

Also, RawDaddy will be there with his award winning ice cream. It helped the winner, Lisa Book Williams- who will also be there By The Way- to win the Iron Vegan Chef award recently.

He will also be bringing his new pulled pork cone (raw vegan of course) he introduced at the Krazy Kracker Lady's event.

RSVP for this event HERE

It is $!5- and it is reduced to $10 for those who have purchased meetup memberships. If you would like to purchase one- pay the reduced fee and bring $25 to the meetup. That fee waives the venue fees for a year and gets you a thank you gift you are sure to like. (see below)

For full details of the event see below:

I am excited to introduce a very special and rare event. On April 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Finnish Hall we will be hosting Cherie Soria and her husband Dan Ladermann. Cherie Soria is indeed a chef extraordinaire. She is founder and director of the Living Light Institute, where many of our greatest chefs have learned how to prepare the delicious raw food we are building a life around. Heather Haxo Phillips, our sponsor and great teacher, and Jennifer Cornbleet, who we were just blessed to have teach us some of her many delicious recipes, both graduated from the institute. We will get to experience their mentor as she draws from her expertise and shows us how to blend flavors and a recipe or two from her new book, Rawfood for Dummies. Of course she is teaching us Smart and Busy people who need a simple

approach to incorporating more raw food into our lives.

In this class you will

  • Learn how to get started on the road to living a healthy, balanced lifestyle incorporating more delicious raw foods.
  • Find out why raw foods help you gain more energy, feel younger, reduce colds, flues and allergies, and help bring your weight into balance without “dieting”.
  • Watch master raw food chef, Cherie Soria, and her husband Dan Ladermann, prepare recipes from their new book, Raw Food For Dummies that are as easy to prepare, as they are delicious. You will not only learn a recipe, but also see how to balance flavors so you can create your own recipes.

Plus RawDaddy will be there with his wonderful gourmet cones. For this event I'm sure he'll have an array of his best, from the Reuben which has become Berkeley Farmer's market favorite, to Sushi, one of my favorites, to Thai and Forest mushroom and polenta. He also has delicious dessert cones such as Pilgrim's cream, Carrot cake, Lemon cheese cake, and Chocolate. Every bite is a taste of rawfood heaven. I'll update the meetup with his choices for this event.

Duration: About 1 ½ to 2 hours, 1 hour talk followed by a culinary demo and book signing.

Time: We will start at 6:30 p.m. and RawDaddy will serve his cones. Cherie and Dan will begin their presentation at 7:15 p.m.

Fees: $15 per person. As usual, the venue fee of $5 will be waived for all of you who have purchased Meetup Memberships. For $25 you get the venue fee (ranging from $5-$10) waived for every meetup and a thankyou gift in the form of your choice of a Hippocrates Raw Vegan series permachart. Email me [address removed] if you're interested in purchasing one. If you have one, just pay $10 when it takes you to Pay Pal.

RSVP HERE for this meetup and do it soon because it's liable to fill up.
