Bot rage is spreading like a virus. From Google to Amazon to Facebook to Microsoft the shift to AI-driven backends and conversation-driven frontends has filled the void once occupied by mobile, social, and cloud.

As an IT community, we're at an inflection point. User problems are getting harder to solve and user expectations are changing. The time is right for disruption... and conversational assistants may be the answer.

In this session, we'll focus on

• how bots work,

• how they're being used by requesters and fulfillers in IT, and

• what's ahead for them and the humans they threaten to replace.

Bring your energy, ideas, and skepticism. You'll come away educated about the state of the art... and likely leave with as many questions as answers.

We'll meet in Palo Alto and via YouTube Live (https://youtu.be/WyKAdgPgUiA) for remote group members.
