What we’re about
The Glasgow Photography Meetup welcomes anyone who enjoys taking pictures, regardless of experience. If you are keen to meet up with fellow photographers to exchange ideas, talk about and take pictures, The Glasgow Photography Club is for you.
As a group we have a special interest in people in pictures and portraiture, as well as a comprehensive list of meetups ranging from landscape, street and anything else you care to try out. Let us know the kind of meetups you would like to get involved in, and we will try to arrange events that are of interest.
If you add your attendance to a meetup, please do remember to change your RSVP to let us know if you can no longer make the event. Anyone who fails to do this on more than three occasions will be taken off the members list.

- International Ayr Show - Saturday full day - (FREE EVENT)Esplanade Gardens, Ayr, Ayr
The International Ayr Show is Scotland's only air show. I've been to a lot of these over the years and it's notable for the variety of subjects to photograph. If you're not especially interested in aircraft, there are tens of thousands of people milling about, some in fancy dress. Add to that vintage cars, various exhibits and the stunning Ayrshire coastline and there's something for every photographer.
Rather than list what's flying this year as it changes right up the last minute, I suggest looking at the official event page for current information. Two highlights are the Red Arrows and the Typhoon.
I suggest using the train to get here unless that's infeasible as parking can be very difficult and you will be guided away from the centre by even stewards to designated car parks. Ayr railway station is about 10-15 minutes walk from the sea front. Do bring sun protection, some snacks, and water. There are plenty of food stands around offering the usual burgers, pizza etc.
Finally, every time I've been to this event, the mobile phone network seems to collapse, so it's very unlikely I'll be able to update this page on the day or be contactable at all. I'll wait around the initial meeting point for 15 minutes or so before heading off.
- WEDDING PORTFOLIO BUILDER WITH TWO MODEL COUPLESGovan old Parish Church, Glasgow£45.00
For this event we will be photographing in the historic Govan Old Parish Church. The venue is a stunning A listed building and boasts dramatic stained glass windows, Juliette balcony, choir and side chapels and many other greaat features. It is the home of the famous Govan stones and has an adjoining graveyard with ancient gravestones and mature trees.
On the day we will have two model couples.
At the event we will be working on a 1:1 model to photographer ratio. This will allow lots of one to one time with the models and give you plenty of time to get that shot.
You will have access to a variety of portable lighting and accessories. Feel free to bring along your own equipment on the day.
Although not strictly a tutored shoot, an expert/s photographer will be on hand to help with setup and advise, so this event is suitable for those who are relatively new to wedding photogrpahy and seasoned photographers alike. The Portfolio Builder would be an ideal opportunity to capture those images you have always wanted to try out, with fine models and help on hand. Great for building a good and varied portfolio. We like to encourag a colaborative and friendly atmospher at our shoots. If you would like to be a part of this event you can book your chosen slot

I have been advised that Meetup now charge attendees a £2 fee for booking directly via the site. Feel free to use my own PayPal address ( anastaziaathome@gmail.com) to book. Just let know and I will add you to the event.******
I have been told that PayPal now charge members (that's you) a fee for booking directly via the Meetup site. If you would like to avoid this you can pay via the bank transfer which is free of charge (preferred) or use anastaziaathome@gmail.com to pay direct via Paypal. If you let me know that you have booked I will add you to the shoot.

Refunds will be given if the event is cancelled. When an event is arranged, the booked models have to be paid whether the event goes ahead or not. This also applies to venues. A good deal administration and time goes in to organising the Meetups. Many shoots are undersubscribed. When this happens we prefer to go ahead, rather that cause disappointment to all involved. If for any reason you are unable to attend an event, we may be able to offer you a spot, free of charge, on a future shoot. This is at the discretion of the organiser. We cannot accommodate requests for specific events. An Organiser will notify you of any availability.
