The Glasgow Photography Meetup welcomes anyone who enjoys taking pictures, regardless of experience. If you are keen to meet up with fellow photographers to exchange ideas, talk about and take pictures, The Glasgow Photography Club is for you.
As a group we have a special interest in people in pictures and portraiture, as well as a comprehensive list of meetups ranging form landscape, street and anything else you care to try out. Let us know the kind of meetups you would like to get involved in, and we will try to arrange events that are of interest.
If you add your attendance to a meetup, please do remember to change your RSVP to let us know if you can no longer make the event. Anyone who fails to do this on more than three occasions will be taken off the members list.
Note that we have a small fee for each event to cover costs and membership fees. These are included in the fee for workshop and model shoot events.
This event will be held a Govan Old Parish Church 223 Govan Rd Glasgow G41 from 1:15 to 3:45. on Saturday 25th May 2024
Join us at Govan Old Parish Church on Saturday 25th may where we will be joined by lots of great models including Lady Mcfarraw and SanaD and Jessica, a professional and classically trained ballerina who will be giving us the opportunity to photogprah her in action. We will also be graced by the Steampunks and cosplayers.

A great chance to catch some fabulous shots.
The church itself is a great Victorian Gothic venue and will make a superb backdrop for photographs. There is also an attached graveyard with ancient stones.If you are interested in photographing people, this would be great opportunity to take pictures of models and other interesting characters.
Unlike street photography, we have a succession of willing subjects! Always good if you're a wee bit shy 🙂 and great for the portfolio.
Although not strictly a tutored shoot, experts will be on hand to help with setup and advise. The event woud be ideal for those who are relatively new to model shoots as well as more seasoned photographers, as there will be help on hand and lots of models to photogrprah.
On the day you will have access to a variety of lighting and light modifiers. Feel free to bring along any equipment of your own too.
You will be working on no more than a 1:3 model to photographer ratio (usually less) and have the opportunity to photograph an eclectic mix of models. The events are informal, friendly and fun and refreshments will be on hand too.

Refunds will be given if the event is cancelled. When an event is arranged, the booked models have to be paid whether the event goes ahead or not. This also applies to venues. A good deal administration and time goes in to organising the Meetups. Many shoots are under subscribed. When this happens we prefer to go ahead, rather that cause disappointment to all involved. If for any reason you are unable to attend an event, we may be able to offer you a spot, free of charge, on a future shoot. This is at the discretion of the organiser. We cannot accommodate requests for specific events. An Organiser will notify you of any availability.

This event is on Saturday, June 8th.
We have this fantastic opportunity to photograph a model in Provands Lordship, Glasgow’s oldest house.
The event is on Saturday the 8th June from 11: to 13:00.Provand’s Lordship was built in 1471.
All the rooms are furnished in period style, featuring a fine collection of 17th century Scottish furniture gifted by Sir William Burrell as well as a series of historic royal portraits.We may also wander out to the St Nicholas Garden.
This garden has been recreated in the style of gardens in the 15th Century. We can also photogprah in Cathedral Square witht the backdrop of the St Mungo's Cathedra and Necropolis.Our model will be the lovely Evie Siddell
