Free Crash Course - Ruby for the Newbie

Overview

Join our Back End Engineering instructor with a focus on Ruby on Rails, Gavin Stark (https://www.meetup.com/The-Iron-Yard-Tampa-Bay/members/1412901/) to learn the basics of Ruby.

This course assumes no previous knowledge of Ruby or any other programming language.

Outcomes

The first half of the course will be a short lecture on the basics of programming and Ruby, followed by a hands-on workshop where we'll do some actual coding together.

Requirements

• If your laptop doesn’t already have a working Ruby environment, we will be using an online version of Ruby so you only need working WiFi.
