Arrive at Code Node from 6:30pm for talks starting at 7pm, followed by socialising in the Code Node Space Bar and then The Red Lion.

1. Managing Special Cases with django-enumfield - Dan Palmer

Struggling to model complex business logic with models? Writing lots of boilerplate to validate enumerations that you use in your model? Let’s refactor with Django EnumField to address common problems in Django development.

2. Freelancing (and Contracting) for Developers - Adam Charnock

An open and candid talk about being self employed as a software developer. This talk will cover both money and soft skills. How much should I charge? How do I get my first client? My second client? Do I need a contract? How do I dump I client? How do I raise my rates? I will be opening discussing my rates and experiences. For this reason the talk will be held under the Chatham House Rule and will not be recorded.

We'll migrate across the road to a room booked in the Red Lion pub, where there is a bar menu available should anyone like to eat.
