What we’re about
The Django London Meetup Group is a social meetup, we regularly hold a gathering the 2nd week of each month.
The meetups are an occasion for all, you don't have to be a veteran Django developer, although an interest in Django and web development is advisable. :)
We have a website at www.djangolondon.com.
Meetup notes + videos are collected on GitHub, for August 2014 onwards. If you have slides/notes to add please send in a pull request!
This meetup group is sponsored by:
- Octopus Energy: "Kraken is a revolutionary energy tech platform built with Django. Serving 25 million households worldwide."
- JetBrains: "We make professional software development a more productive and enjoyable experience."
Our meetups are governed by a Code of Conduct. Please take a few minutes to read it.
Covid policy: Our meetup follows the government policy towards public health (see here: Coronavirus (COVID-19): guidance and support).

Supporting Junior Developers: Insights from My Journey
by Anna ZhydkoAnna aims to share valuable insights from her own personal journey as a junior developer. The primary goal is to provide practical and beneficial information for junior developers, as well as their mentors and line managers. While the focus is on supporting junior developers, the talk suggests that anyone attending could find ideas for their professional growth. Overall, the talk will offer actionable advice and perspectives based on the speaker’s own experiences, making it relevant for a broader audience interested in professional development.
Tests that write your docs. Tests that rewrite themselves.
by Colm O’ConnorThis talk will cover the Hitchstory tool, which can test your Django apps and generate documentation at the same time. On the way, it will cover some YAML surprises, or “WATs” in the vein of the Gary Bernhardt’s infamous WAT talk.
