IoT and Design Thinking

Too often the IoT is a discussion around technical possibility. This is useful when you just start to explore an early technology but the IoT is a fairly complex space with lots of moving parts. If we're not careful, we'll stumble our way into a complex mess of different standards and closed eco-systems.

This talk backs up just a bit to make sure we're clear on where we need to go. What are the core things we need to solve for the IoT to properly? By walking through just a few scenarios, it's clear that the IoT is heading for a complex mess. It's helpful to step back and discuss these issues, even if they are hard to solve, so can be clear about our directions.
