IoT in the Field: Firmware, Connectivity & Security at Scale
Details
Whether you've deployed a single device or a fleet for an IoT solution, you've seen some of the complexity that goes into getting a deployment in the field.
This month, we'll take a closer look at firmware, connectivity, and security in large scale IoT solutions. We'll be joined by Particle, Helium, and Filament, who will each do a product demo followed by a short panel discussion.
---------
Jeff Eiden, Product Manager at Particle will be demoing firmware management on devices.
IoT companies need to provide a means to continuously improve and evolve functionality of devices deployed out in the field. This demo will exhibit the process of rolling out firmware updates in the field to manage fleets of devices.
Helium simply and securely delivers IoT data from device to cloud. Its connectivity solutions are interoperable with hundreds of development boards and compatible with any IoT cloud channel.
Helium's CTO Marc Nijdam will demonstrate the ease to configure, transmit and manage an IoT deployment within the broader context of a scalable operation.
Aditi Hilbert, Head of Product at Runtime, will discuss Apache Mynewt enabling firmware upgrades, device statistics, and also crash dumps analyses and how they are used to for greater visibility into failures e.g. generating a call stack showing the calls leading up to a failure.
